Remember This Message About Life
This is one message that has stood out for me over the last 2 weeks. As I was going about “getting things done” I noticed I was getting increasingly more agitated and overwhelmed, then I noticed little things started happening as a knock on effect. For example, banging my knee on a table corner and accidently knocking things over…these types of things haven’t happened to me in a long time.
I remember from “The Secret” Movie that this sort of thing can be a cycle that starts from the beginning of your day (i.e. waking up in a bad mood). Anyway, mid-week on Wednesday 16th May one of my friends offered to go out of their way and take me to dance practise, which I hadn’t been for over a week, so I accepted.
After I got home after the short (but sweaty) 1 hour practice session and sat down to listen to a webinar about “Re-programming the mind” I realised something…
LIFE IS MEANT TO BE FUN!
Yes I know it’s kind of obvious but as we all go from our day-to-day routine whether it’s work, studying or something else, we sometimes forget to take time out and have a break. Some of us sacrifice our hobbies, family time or general fun in pursuit of something we are driving towards.
So always remember to make some time for something you enjoy, even if it’s just for 15 minutes….yesterday I went paintballing for the first time….a lot of laughs (and pain after getting shot in the back multiple times)
“Live life fully while you’re here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don’t try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.” – Anthony Robbins
