Appreciation To Brother – Happy Birthday

A brother is a friend given by Nature.  – Legouve Pere

It’s one of my brother’s birthday today but instead of writing on his Facebook wall (which would get lost in all the messages), sending a text (which may get deleted) or calling him up I decided to dedicate this blog post to him.

Up to the age of 13 I never really got to know Ron and thought he was a bit weird with all his PMA and personal development books (funny how things come around, now I’m reading the same books he was back then). I only really ever saw/spoke to him when he came to our parents’ house on a Sunday afternoon to pick up some of Mum’s cooking. Also up to the age of 13 you could say I was your stereotypical “anti-social geek”. I lacked a lot of social skills, was bullied a lot in school and would rather sit in a corner on my own playing game boy games than engage in conversation with someone.

When I was 14 we started hanging out a lot more when he started his own business teaching dance and he thought it would be a good idea to get me out of the house…you could say that he “took me under his wing”. From then until now he has helped me so much; from encouraging my own ideas and building my confidence to teaching me so much about life. I really appreciate all the experiences and adventures we have had up to now.

For all of this I am truly thankful – Happy Birthday Big Bro 🙂
