A Different Perspective About Manifesting Illness

Today I seem to have contracted “man flu”, I haven’t been ill in such a long I cannot remember the last time I had flu. After some self-reflection and seeing how I could have attracted this into my life experience I ended up laughing at how I should have known this was going happen.

The last 2 days I had been allowing other people’s moods and complaints to affect my own. It seems that I have just been observing and reacting to what was going on around me instead of intending what I would like to happen.

Although I am ill at the moment I already see the positive aspects of this:

  1. I am a powerful creator of what goes on in my life since it only took 2 days to manifest what I was feeling into physical illness.
  2. I have spent the whole day listening to Napoleon Hill’s “Science of Personal Achievement” audio set which has given me some fresh ideas, inspiration and motivation. It’s like “Think and Grow Rich” on steroids! (I’ll get around to writing a review about it for those who haven’t heard about it)
  3. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe staying in all day was meant to happen so I could take the time out to listen to the audio tape and reflect on where I was heading.

Anyway, now I know how I got to this state I am feeling more hopeful and optimistic because I know I’ll be better very soon.

  1. Awesome, I’m currently Reading Ask and it is Given. The amazing things we can do if we use our thoughts!

    Thanks!

  2. Thank you for the comment Kevin.
I’ve read Ask and It Is Given too – The processes are great! I have “the emotional scale” posted all over my apartment.

  3. Hi Jon,

Isn’t it (strangely) empowering when we realize that we draw things to ourselves, even sickness, by our thoughts and words? When things don’t feel quite “right” I try to think of it as a wake-up call and look at what my underlying thoughts have been focused on.

Great post, and I hope you got better quickly!
